Hi, I'm Joy.

I recently came to the realization that I notice things.

I notice when a butterfly lands softly on a petal, when colors layer and complement each other in an ordinary sunset, when clouds fold into the sky in perfect, unpredictable shapes. I notice the way branches form patterns from a tree, how a butter knife creates art in a simple spread, how a breakfast table can feel like a quiet escape to Tuscany for me :). I notice.

I notice how the soft hues of ice cream draw you in, how the natural folds of hair make someone effortlessly beautiful, how something as simple as seeing your mother smile can make the world feel light again.

I notice how much a simple fire on a rainy day brings harmony, how fairy lights on a random evening spark togetherness, how people cooking while others play cards or watch a movie somehow glue a family together.

The other day, while watering plants at home, I noticed a bee struggling in a small puddle I had created. I tried to save her — only to realize she didn't need rescuing. She had it under control, just needed a few sips before flying off again.

I notice the thoughtfulness behind meaningful packaging, the harmony of colors and textures, the effort behind every pattern, every petal, every detail. I see the endless shades of the same hue, how they dance together to create something quietly beautiful. I notice.

I live in a world of color, pattern, and feeling. These small, everyday wonders have, unknowingly, long inspired my vision for Roses Are Red Kenya — where event setups, flower artistry, and design storytelling come together to create moments that feel warm, intentional, and full of life.

I hope that everyone who comes across our work feels seen, felt, and gently reminded of the beauty that lives in the details.
